Dr Mihir Kothari is a revered senior academic pediatric ophthalmologist in India. He has completed long term fellowship in Pediatric ophthalmology and Strabismus from Aravind eye hospital, Madurai, India in 2003. Dr Kothari then completed two more fellowships, one from the world renowned Jhons Hopkins university School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA and another one from the Smith Kettlewell Eye Research Instt., San Francisco, USA. Dr Kothari is an avid researcher. He has received 21 awards for his scientific work in pediatric eye care and published 86 research papers in peer reviewed international journals. Dr Kothari is also the founder and exdirector of the Group of the Pediatric Ophthalmologists of Mumbai and its fellowship program. He is a surgeon par excellence and he is involved in various community pediatric eye care activities for under privileged children. He specialises in the management of pediatric eye disorders, strabismology and nystagmus management.
